Winter 2025 Programs
We are able to accept registrations via phone or in person at our Front Desk. To reach our Front Desk please call 902-852-2711.
This season we look forward to offering many programs and classes for adults & children. Programs include sports, dance, fitness classes, clubs, art and more! We continue to add programs throughout the season; follow us on Facebook to stay up-to-date as new opportunities arrive!
A reminder that payment is due upon registration for all programs. For age-specific programs, participants must be of age for the program upon the program start-date.
Fitness & Yoga Drop Ins Fees: Single class drop in – $10.00
Drop In space is limited & will be on a first come, first served basis until all class spaces are filled. This includes single-class drop ins or punch pass drop ins. Participants should first check with the instructor to ensure space remains before paying for drop in – Community members are encouraged to contact the Front Desk on the day of program, 3 hours prior to check availability of program drop ins.
Regular Daily and Weekly Programs
Weekday Pickleball
Day: Monday to Friday
Time: 10am – 12:00 PM
$4 Drop In
$35 – 10 Punch Pass
In consultation with the Prospect Slammers Pickleball Group and local players, we’ve adjusted our drop-in program to follow a leveled-player approach. We host pickleball drop-ins six days per week (see schedule below); two of those days are reserved for players who self-rate themselves at playing at a level 3.0 or higher.

Open Play – For all players, including beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Days/Times: Monday, Thursday & Friday from 10am – 12pm & Sunday from 3 – 6pm
Intermediate & Advanced Play – For all players who self-rate themselves at level 3.0 or higher.
Days/Times: Tuesday 10am-12pm & Wednesday from 10am – 12pm
Participants are asked to arrive promptly for the start time of their program. Access to the gymnasium will not be available until the official start time of the program in order to ensure proper set up and cleaning protocols have been completed. Participants are asked to begin wrapping up their games 10-mintues prior to the posted end time in order to ensure a smooth transition into the next activity using the space.
Equipment is available to borrow from the Prospect Slammers Pickleball Group. Instruction is often available from experienced players during Open Play days for beginners.
Fees: $4.00 per drop in OR 10-punch card for $35.00
Outdoor Pickleball at the PRCC
The outdoor multi-use, sports court construction was completed in the Fall of 2018. The court is currently lined for multiple pickleball courts, and portable nets are located in a locked storage box secured to the court fence. The key to access the nets is available at the PRCC Front Desk during our open hours.
Note that the PRCC is unable to loan equipment for use on the sports court.

Senior Washer Toss
Day: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 10am – 12pm

Price: $4.00 per visit OR 10 punch card for $35
Room: Multipurpose Room
Equipment Required: Comfortable clothing, water bottle, and sneakers.
Excluded dates: N/A
Additional Information:
- Doors will open at 10am-sharp and program ends promptly at 12pm.
- Boxes & washers are provided; players may wish to bring magnetic wands to picking up washers.

Fitness Centre Orientations

Sign up for an orientation with Sabrina Fava to learn how to use the fitness centre machines, and get advice on how best to acheive your health goals.
About Sabrina: A personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2013. I teach one-on-one and small group training (up to four people). I have experience training young student athletes, pre and post-natal mamas, people recovering from injury, and people who are new or just getting back to exercise. I love sharing my passion for fitness with clients and helping them with their fitness journey.
When I’m not teaching classes or training people in my home studio, you can find me in the kitchen cooking and baking up a storm or relaxing with a good book or watching the latest binge worthy show.

After School Youth Open Gym

Calling all junior high aged youth; to join us for a FREE open gymnasium drop-in program!
Between 2:00pm and 2:45pm, junior high students will have access to the gym and sports equipment.
Students can pick up a registration form at the front desk. The form must be completed with contact information and parent signature. Youth will receive a pass they will need to show each day to gain entry. Youth can request a new pass if they lost their current one – as long as we have registration paperwork on file.
We ask that all participants follow gymnasium rules, which includes “No Outdoor Footwear Allowed”.
