The Prospect Communities Farmers Market launched the first market on April 23rd, 2017 at the Prospect Road Community Centre, located at 2141 Prospect Road in Hatchet Lake.
We have been busy over the winter planning for a bigger and better fourth season for the market. Stay tuned for the official 2020 schedule!
The Farmers Market is a project of the Resource Opportunities Centre, a not-for-profit, community development organization that serves the many communities along Route 333, from Goodwood to West Dover.

Our mission: The ROC is a community-based organization dedicated to sustainability and community development through the delivery of diverse recreational, educational, cultural, social and technology-related opportunities.
In support of our vision and mission, this project is a collaboration between the ROC and the Spryfield and District Community Market & we work to maintain a strategic partnership to ensure that our markets complement each other & provide an opportunity for a weekly market that just happens to be shared between two locations..
2020 has been challenging in so many ways, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have embraced “forced innovation” & moved our farmers’ market online in order to continue to facilitate access to locally grown, produced, and handcrafted items.
Orders can be placed directly at http://www.prospectfarmersmarket.com from Monday morning until Thursday at noon. This has also allowed us to move from a bi-weekly model to a weekly model.
It has never been more important to support local food initiatives, local vendors & the local economy. In order to do our part to support communities in accessing local food & vendors, we have partnered more formally with the team at the Spryfield Farmers’ Market to offer pick up locations in both Spryfield & the Prospect Communities.
The Prospect Communities Farmers Market will be responsible for the creation & management of the online market website & related administration & each individual market will be responsible for receiving & distributing orders for their respective communities.
