Volunteer Services
is receiving many requests from volunteers looking for specific volunteer opportunities including:

  1. Positions appropriate for youth
  2. Volunteer positions which provide work experience. Some requests for construction, office work, etc.
  3. Event work - organizing and helping the day of the event.

If your organization needs volunteers and have any volunteer jobs available, please let us know so that we can better assist volunteers in finding positions.

crafters-market-logo-medImportant News Update Fall Show – October 16th, 2010

At our most recent meeting “Participants Standards” were discussed and set for our upcoming market. We are now in a position to start the process of renting spaces and or tables for our fall show. These tables are being rented on a first come first served basis. Please contact Ken Beazley at 852-4254 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to book your table now. There is an application process this year since the show is now open to all HRM and surrounding area crafters. A package including your application, the show price list and standards will be mailed to you. Upon return of your completed application and the full payment of your fee, you will be assigned a table/space. Since this show will be open to all crafters as well as those from this area, along with the reasonable price of our tables, it is recommended that you sign up as soon as possible to reserve your space.

We are presently having flyers and posters printed to advertise our show and should be available in time for our next meeting, which is being held at the Community Centre on September 13th, 2010 at 7 p.m. Anyone who is interested in distributing some of this material should also contact Ken.

Our show is being held on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 from 10a.m. to 4p.m. at the new Prospect Road Community Centre. Lunch will be prepared by the Ladies’ Auxiliary of St. Timothy’s Church. So mark your calendars now, bring along a friend, shop, enjoy a nice lunch at the new Community Centre while supporting local Artisans.

Hope to see you all there!
