Whereas the proposed tire recyling project ( for the processing of 1 million passenger tires) in Goodwood presents potential significant environmental risks to adjacent lands and to potable ground water; and dealing with its potential catistrophic consequences of contaminated run- off and air pollutants if the worst events happens, particualarily fire.
It is therefore requested that HRM council urge the Department of Environment to conduct an environmental review of this proposed Provincal project.
